At the National University of Vanuatu, training on creating online courses

The second edition of Moodle training – how to create eLearning courses on the platform was organised in Santo from 16 to 18 April 2024 for the lecturers and employees of the Vanuatu Agriculture College (VAC).

The course provided technical and methodological advice to 12 participants to enhance and develop eLearning experience and collaborative teaching using the eLearning platform.

The invitation was extended to the members of the Vanuatu Agricultural Research and Technical Centre (VARTC CTRAV) and the Senior Education Officer of Sanma province, who joined the sessions held in the brand-new eLearning classroom at VAC! Dominik Ramik was the trainer and shared his experience of Moodle with the participants who enjoyed learning how to use this new tool now accessible for VAC’s trainers.

A similar training was already conducted in Port Vila last year for the National University of Vanuatu and its School of Education. This Moodle training and the opening of four new e-learning classrooms are part of the DIgital REsponse Connecting CiTizens (Direcct) program funded by the European Union and managed by the AFD – Agence Française de Développement aimed at strengthening digital infrastructures and improving access to eLearning resources in Vanuatu.
